Is this like the fabled “opening the gates of hell” response?

Mahmoud Abbas tells the EU why they should continue giving money to terrorists:

Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas warned Tuesday of a Palestinian “explosion of anger” if international donors did not move fast to restore aid cut off in recent weeks.

“Life will be frozen and there will be an explosion of anger and this would lead to a chaotic situation of which we cannot forsee the results,” Abbas told a news conference after a speech to the European Parliament in the French city of Strasbourg.

Here’s an idea: Stop destroying the greenhouses and, like, build your own industries. That would bring in money. Oh, wait. You can’t export via Egypt, because Egypt won’t let you. And you can’t export via Israel, because the crossings keep getting attacked by terrorists and then being closed.

Perhaps you should give up terrorism, pals.

In his address to the European Parliament, Abbas appealed for the EU to give the Hamas-led government a “chance to adapt” to international requirements and not cut off aid to the Palestinian Authority.

Because it’s been, what, three, four months? And they’ve showed so much movement in those few months, eh? (By “so much,” we mean “none”.)

Let the “explosion of anger” happen. Maybe then the world will stop pretending that the palestinians want anything less than the destruction of Israel.

  1. Abbas’ statements were coordinated with the Al-Aqsa announcements of threats against the US and EU.

Storm the Mukatah again. Let’s see what paperwork and receipts they’ll find this time.

Hugh Fitzgerald has a fine analysis over at Dhimmi Watch. It’s jizyah. We’ve been paying it for years, and I see no real sign that we’re stopping.

A serious response to Abbas would be for the US to call on him to honor the agreements that HE signed by dissolving the current HAMAS terror government (he has the legal authority to do so) and calling new elections in which terror factions will be barred from participating.

Furthermore, Abbas should be informed that, if his threats against American interests should be carried out, US policy favoring “Palestinian” statehood will be reconsidered, as well as the currently-effective Presidential waiver of laws barring activities of the PLO on US soil.

    The jizyah must end.

    Right on Ben.

The only trouble with your plan is that, if new elections are called for, and terrorist groups are not allowed to run, there will be no political groups on tyhe ballot at all, and nobody to vote for.

Did I say that was trouble? My bad.

Past time for the Palis to stop the terrorism, end their extortion racket, and get a life. Keep them cut off, and make them work for a living. It will do them no end of good.

What happened to all that gelt their pals the Fraudis and the Mad Mullahs were going to send? Are Arabs and Persians more generous with words than with their cash? Who da thunk it?
