Your Thursday news roundup

And yet, the word “intolerance” is not paired with “Muslim”: The AP covers Israel’s dwindling Armenian Christian population without really mentioning the elephant in the room except in vague, generalized terms. Although the article does point out that when Jordan … Continue reading

Tuesday briefs

What? Mention Israel’s Independence Day without reference to the Palestinians? That wouldn’t be AP. Yep. “Nakba” reference at the end of the AP story on Israel’s Independence Day. Because it’s all about the Palestinians, who turned down a state in … Continue reading

Monday on the road briefs

The mystery of the contaminated jet fuel: I’ve been tracking this story for days, but there’s no explanation. Did terrorists tamper with Israel’s jet fuel? Was it a disgruntled employee? Or just a bad batch from wherever they purchased it? … Continue reading

The bin Laden is still dead briefs

OBL wanted a hit on Amtrak: He must have watched too many old western movies when he was a kid. Turns out he wanted to blow up the tracks on a bridge so the train would fall off the tracks. … Continue reading

Late Thursday briefs

Awesome. Hamas just keeps on digging in that deep hole: Now the bin Laden killing is an “atrocity.” No, it was justice, asshats. Something that we all hope for the leaders of Hamas to experience someday. That’s funny, I thought … Continue reading

Wednesday, briefly

Just recycle my last fifty posts on Carter: Unity agreement, yadda yadda, Israel should accept, yadda yadda, Hamas will moderate, yadda yadda, I certified free and fair elections, yadda yadaa. Blahblahblah, Carter is an imbecile, yadda, yadda, yadda. If bin … Continue reading

I wonder how much money I’ve really saved

Today marks thirteen years of non-smoking. I had a carton-a-week habit. Cartons were about $35-40 in NJ when I quit (I think). Even using the $40/week baseline, I’ve saved a ton of money not smoking.

The getting back to normal briefs

Actions have consequences: The Palestinians are hurting without the tax monies Israel is withholding. And while I don’t deny that Fayyad is right, those are Palestinan monies, well, perhaps you should have stopped to think before getting in bed with … Continue reading

The DDOS is over and bin Laden is dead briefs

Burial at sea? That was much too good for him: Leave it to the AP to bring on the downer news in its main story about bin Laden’s death. Look, we know his death isn’t going to have a huge … Continue reading
