Not an empty slogan anymore

The Iranians purport to be “shocked” at the world reaction to their president’s latest anti-Semitic remarks.

But Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Hamid Reza Asefi said reaction to the Iranian president’s remarks was unfair.

“I’m surprised by the reaction to these comments,” he told a weekly news conference. “Some foreign circles and foreign countries are giving a misleading impression (of what Ahmadinejad said).” Speaking in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, Ahmadinejad said:

“Some European countries insist on saying that Hitler killed millions of innocent Jews in furnaces. . . Although we don’t accept this claim . . .

“If the Europeans are honest they should give some of their provinces in Europe – like in Germany, Austria or other countries – to the Zionists and the Zionists can establish their state in Europe,” the official IRNA news agency quoted him as saying.

The remarks followed comments by Ahmadinejad in October in which he described Israel as a “tumour” which should be “wiped off the map”.

I can understand his confusion. After all, Ahmadinejad didn’t say anything that we haven’t already heard from the ANSWER lefties, as well as some supposedly Jew-friendly opinion writers.

This time, however, the world says they’re going to do something about it. I’ll withhold judgment until I see some action–something more than a stern UN resolution telling Iran to play nice.

The difference is that the people who here it know that Ahmadinejad intends to actually do what he says that he will do. The ANSWER lefties are known to be a bunch of blowhard bigmouths who will back down whenever anyone stands up to their bullying tactics.

Isn’t it interesting that it is only the terrorist who is regarded as honest instead of the cultured civilized politically correct lefties.

Of course not. There will be a stern UN resolution blaming Israel for using the Holocaust as a means of deflecting criticism from itself.

    You were maybe expecting justice?

  3. Let’s not forget that Ahmadinejad, no matter how aggressive and stupid he may seem, is only a puppet in the hands of his Ayatillah masters. And the masters are not exactly critical of him at the moment.
