Documenting Reuters anti-Israel bias

It’s a dirty job, but somebody’s got to do it. A new blog is keeping an eye on the Reuters anti-Israel bias. Boy, are they never gonna run out of material for posts. For example:

“We believe our post is accurate”
That was the definitively equivocal reply of Reuters’ AxisMundi Jerusalem editor and Bureau Chief for Israel and the Palestinian territories, Alastair MacDonald, to a reader who had pointed out that Reuters’ correspondent Erika Solomon did not have her facts straight when she claimed that Uri Davis was Jewish:

Yeah. It’s an uphill climb.

  1. Now, to be fair to Reuters, the fact that Mr. Davis has converted to Islam is not widely known. After all he has far more propaganda value as a Jew.

So it could be that Reuters did not do their homework BUT after they were informed otherwise they should have changed their story to reflect that.

As part of doing their homework maybe, you know, they could have actually asked him? But that would be doing real journalism work.

  2. Michael Lonie says:

Nobody but reporters at small regional papers and bloggers do real journalism work anymore.
