Russian parents, beware

Beware Russian parents. Keep watch over your children before the coming of April 2008, the Jewish holiday of Passover. These disgusting people still engage in ritual practice to their gods. They kidnap small children and remove some of their blood and use it to prepare their holy food (matza). They throw the bodies (of the children) out in garbage dumps.

Nope, it is not a quote from some XIX century anti-Semitic pamphlet. It comes from a text distributed in fair Russian city of Novosibirsk these days.

Hundred of anti-Semitic announcements warning Russian parents to beware of the supposed Jewish practice of using children’s blood to prepare Passover matza were put up around the city of Novosibirsk, Russia in southwest Siberia on Wednesday.

Amos Hermon, the Jewish Agency official in charge of the fight against anti-Semitism, told Ynet following the incident in Novosibirsk that “this is an appalling and extraordinary incident.

Beg your pardon, Mr Hermon – this is where you are mistaken. While the incident is appalling, it is in no way extraordinary.

Watch this page for more in a few days.

Update: for readers of Russian here is the text.

And we Jews are so clever, aren’t we? I mean, all these centuries of using blood in matzot, and the finished product has not the slightest trace of red or even the palest shade of pink! Gee, I wonder how we manage that.

  2. Tatterdemalian says:

Jewish magic. Same way you make Arabs’ testicles shrivel and fall off with just a handshake (but later get better, so there’s no evidence of it).

  3. Michael Lonie says:

Muslims, and now Russians, often sound like something out of Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

“She turned me into a newt.”

    “Into a newt?”

    “I got better.”

Here, at the beginning of the 21st Century, the age of space travel, modern medicine, incredibly easy access to information, and modern transportation, we see continually that the Medieval Mind is still rampant over most of the Earth. This 12th Century lie about the Jews isn’t simply repeated, but Arabs put new riffs on the old fake, saying that Jews put the blood of gentile children in Purim hamentaschen. People who write this stuff must have no consciences.

  4. Alex Bensky says:

I was not the most attentive kid imaginable, so I guess I missed that part when they took my Hebrew school class to see how matzah was made.

  5. Tatterdemalian says:

Islam, unfortunately, has a core doctrine that leads its followers to externalize their consciences in the form of Allah. If you do something and are made to suffer for it, Allah is telling you that you should not be doing that; conversely, if you do something and gain a benefit from it, Allah is telling you to do that more often. This sort of belief system may not sound so bad, but this reliance on an uncaring environment for moral guidance quickly reduces humans to animal behaviors at best, and more often causes them to manifest grotesquely warped mockeries of human nature, with all virtues methodically stripped away and all vices unleashed to run rampant.

  6. Michael Lonie says:

I’m not so sure about that Tatterdemalian. There is a moral comtent to Islam, just as with other religions, even if the radical Islamists refuse to extend its reach to non-Muslims or, for that matter, most other Muslims.

Furthermore, if the Muslims reacted to adverse events by deciding that Allah was telling them to stop doing something, they’d have made peace with Israel many years ago, after, say the third time the Israelis kicked their asses. But Muslims never concluded that their repeated inability to achieve their goals of genocide of the Jews was Allah telling them to desist. Perhaps the hope of doing evil springs eternal in the Arab spleen, and Allah can’t possibly be saying what He seems to be saying: “Lay off the Jews, dumb-dumb”.
