Israel who?

Just for kicks and giggles, since I saw a headline about Human Rights Watch, I checked their front page. There’s a headline calling on the U.S. to stop selling cluster bombs to Israel. There’s a headline calling on the U.S. to close Guantanamo. There’s a headline saying that we should use restraint, not force, on Cuba.

There’s nothing about the suicide bombing in Eilat.

Of course not.

There never is.

Israelis don’t get human rights, apparently.

    From http://hrw.org/english/docs/2006/11/18/isrlpa14639.htm

“Palestinian Authority: End Rocket Attacks on Civilians — Use of Indiscriminate Homemade Rockets Violates Laws of War”

“…On Wednesday, a homemade rocket fired from Gaza killed Faina Slutzker, a 57-year-old Israeli woman, in the Israeli town of Sderot. The attack also seriously wounded a 24-year-old Israeli, Maor Peretz, who according to media reports lost both of his legs. Hours later, another rocket landed near the police station in Sderot, seriously wounding a 17-year-old boy.”

  5. And yet, there is still no mention of the suicide bombing, nor has HRW ever really gone out of its way to condemn suicide bombings in Israel. Well, back in 2001 or 2002, maybe, but lately? Nope.

    Try again, anonymous.
