Jewish leaders to Ahmadinejad: Eff you

I like this:

WASHINGTON – Jewish leaders who were invited to listen to a speech by Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Wednesday at the Council on Foreign Relations research institute in New York, expressed their astonishment over the invitation sent to them, which they rejected with contempt.

Anti-Defamation League National Director Abraham H. Foxman told Ynet that he had no plans to attend such a meeting.

According to Foxman, this is also the stance of the Jewish leaders he spoke to.

I was invited to meet the Iranian president and I refused, he said, adding that the Jews had no choice but to let him speak at the UN, as it is part of an agreement according to which each “despicable and monstrous” head of state has the right to come there.

But what does he have to say at the Council on Foreign Relations that we haven’t already heard, Foxman asked. If Ahmadinejad had any regrets over his denial of the Holocaust and saying that Israel should be wiped off the map, Foxman suggested, he will be able to fix it at the UN speech.

American Jews will be protesting Monkey Boy’s visit today in front of the UN. With shofars. If you’re in the New York area, go. I wish I could. I’d love to hear hundreds of shofarot (the proper term for them) sounding at once.

Iran’s President Ahmadinejad is planning to go to the UN.

Are you?

One Response to Jewish leaders to Ahmadinejad: Eff you

  1. Dan says:

It will take more than a simply “f off” to solve this problem.

It’s going to take sustained military action.

And everybody in any position of power is doing everything they can to avoid coming to so sober a conclusion.

But at least the diplomatic effort was made. That effort was ill starred from the start. But history and future generations will know where the onus of blame for this entire drama should be placed.

History will not allow Blair, Olmert, or most significantly Bush, to escape blame if Tehran gets the bomb, by saying they urged the United Nations to live up to their proclamations and mandate.

Everybody knows the UN is a joke, and that any effort to try to solve this problem through its auspices is nothing more than a bad joke, and one of enormous bad taste at that.

I don’t know what additional evidence they need that diplomacy is a joke on this whole nightmare.
