Call for podcast assistance

If you’d like to be a part of this week’s podcast, here’s a quick and easy way.

Record yourself saying “What the hell is wrong with you?” (and think in terms of the EU deciding that they’re going to talk and send money to Hamas). Send it to me (meryl-at-yourish-dotcom) in mp3 or.wav format (mp3 is smaller and better).

Go to it, folks, but do me a favor — send the mp3s later today, because I’m at work and can’t access my email from home until six p.m. EST.

Update: I’m home now, folks. Send away.

Update 2:
Thanks to all who contributed, but I couldn’t use the mp3s in this week’s podcast after all. However, I’m pretty sure I’ll be able to use them in the future. If you wanted to contribute but didn’t get to it in time, feel free to send me an mp3 file.

Darn time zones — your 6 p.m. is my 1 a.m. So I just sent you the requested mp3 file using YouSendIt.com. The file will stay on YouSendIt.com’s servers for a week, and you can download it whenever you like. All that comes into your in-box is a notification that the file is waiting for you.

  2. Done, Rahel, but you didn’t need to worry about 44k. Thanks! (Got off from work a bit early. Paint fumes got to me.)

  3. WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU??????

  4. Rahel says:

(Not enough cat pictures, Lair. That’s what’s wrong with me.)

That was a good pod-segment. You have a great over-the-air speaking voice. What do you think your chances are of landing a feature spot on NPR?

  6. Robert says:

I would love to contribute but I hate hearing my voice. :)

  7. My chances of landing a radio job? Zero. I have no experience or background in radio, regardless of whether you’re talking NPR or Fox News Radio.

Your politics don’t matter nearly as much as your background and experience when it comes to getting a job. I’m not so foolish as to think that just because I’m podcasting, I can now jump into the radio field.

But I must say, I’ve enjoyed being on the radio for the last two EATAPETA days.
