Random Java book thought

So, whose idea was it to use the Great Wall of China as a cover illustration for a Java/Web Services book?

Feeling grandiose, are we?

I’m trying to figure out the metaphor, and other than, “Gee, what a cool picture!” — I got nuffin’.

    I blame O’Reilly. (not that one)

    High school math textbooks are even worse. Recently published calculus textbooks have pictures of mountain climbers, bicyclists, a sunrise, etc.

    I guess it’s like that old joke about the storefront with the clock in the window…
