Fiji to Israelis: You’re not welcome here

Oh, look. Another entry in the “Jew Cooties” category.

Three Israeli backpackers were evicted from Fiji after a Muslim immigration officer ruled that they had humiliated Palestinians during their military service in the territories.

The three – Amit Ronen, Eldar Avracohen, and Nimrod Lahav – left Israel in February for a tour in Australia.

In July they decided to spend a week in Fiji. On July 13 they arrived at Fiji airport where a surprise awaited them.

“We gave our passports to the officer, and when she saw we are Israelis she asked for ID cards. We told her we don’t understand why we need ID cards and she responded shouting: ‘You know very well how to ask Palestinians for IDs and humiliate them for three years.”

That’s what Avracohen wrote in a complaint letter he sent to Israel’s Ambassador to Australia Nati Tamir.

The three were held at Fiji airport for six hours and officials rebuked their pleas to be allowed to make a phone call.

Armed policemen took them to a cell at the airport where they spent the night before being sent back to Australia.

Did you get that last? They spent the night in prison. Their crime? Being Israeli.

Fiji is a mostly Christian nation. This one can’t be blamed solely on Muslim anti-Semitism.

It can be blamed on the anti-Israel media poisoning the world, however.

    Crikey…

Theres an old saying that goes ‘sticks and stones may break my bones but names will never hurt me’ – which essentially means I shouldn’t care what people say about me and my people because its just words.

Well… this article disproves that old saying. Words do cause harm. Or should I say distortions, lies and slander?

It sure sounded like that officer in the airport had an ax to grind…

    shyea…

Fiji just hosted ultra orthodox Rabbis who claimed it was an eye opening experience.

Perhaps the trio was another Mossad crew trying their luck like the Israeli applicant to the General Manager’s position in the late 1990’s to Telecom Fiji Limited whose credentials from U.S universities were revealed to be fraudulent.

I can’t believe this. My country is the friendliest place in the world, May be the Indians in my country are abit “STRESSED” but I still can’t believe this happened.

  4. The Doctor says:

With due respect, Fiji is not a “mostly Christian” nation. The US is, Italy is, but with only 52% Christian and a growing muslim population I think that this is a mischaracterization of Fiji.

  5. Yes, blame the Mossad. Because it’s not like Muslims hate Israelis or anything.

Way to show your prejudices, laminar.

And oh yeah, click “post” three times because your comment doesn’t show. Don’t read the little words that say comments must be approved before you get to comment regularly. You are also dangerously close to being in violation of the commenting rules, so I’m betting your commenting permission doesn’t last a week.

Nobody has ever applied to a job with faked credientials WITHOUT being a Mossad agent before, have they, laminar? If someone lies somewhere for some reason, you can bet the Mossad was involved! Ever been lied to by anyone? Blame the Jews!

    What a maroon.

  7. David says:

I suspect we haven’t been given the full story about what happened at Nadi Airport that night. Airports are dangerous places these days, and you have to be very careful what you say. I suspect that it was something the three Israelis said to the immigration officers that led to them being refused entry, not the fact that they were Israelis. Also, almost all indigenous Fijians (who comprise over half the population of Fiji) are Christians, but only about 20 percent of Fiji Indians are Muslims. The other 80 percent are Hindus.

  8. laminar_flow says:

Yeah throw in religon when you can’t get your way.

On the Mossad issue N.Z has experienced it too.
Then we have the Germany passport case.

So don’t get your knickers in a knot; when you’re busted.

  9. And again, you still have nothing. Nothing but innuendo and lies concerning Fiji.

Got proof? A cite, a fact, anything?

No. Just your little anti-Israel bias.

    Your slip is showing.

  10. laminar_flow says:

Pulleze. first it was anti-semeitc, now Israeli anti-bias.
    What’s next,
I will not be surpirsed if you advocate for Israel to invade Fiji, for stopping 3 Israelis citizens?

  11. And we’re done here. You have nothing but accusations and lies, and are wasting my time and my readers’.
