Other bloggers’ words

Let’s take a look at stories I don’t have time to delve into.

The Brits are going to boycott Israeli universities again. But it’s not anti-Semitism, it’s anti-Zionism.

Speaking of British anti-Semitism, Adloyada is all over the anti-Semitic MP who just resigned.

Gary Farber covers lots of things that I would like to write about, so start at the top and scroll down.

Over on Simply Jews, the post that I wouldn’t let Snoopy post here. That’s right. Censored. The rumors that I am holding out for more money are simply vicious lies.

Moose and squirrel. That’s all I’m going to say.

Solly is his usual busy self. We tend to write about the same subjects a lot, so sometimes, I cheat and just read his blog or send you there. This one’s a good one. And this.

It’s Zionist Conspiracy theories all over Judeosphere. Be careful. I think they track whoever reads those posts.

Jewish Current Issues on the Walt-Mearsheimer letter responding to their critics: Uh, no, they haven’t. They’ve not responded at all to the charges of the many factual errors (big surprise there).

That ought to keep you busy for a while.

As always Meryl, thank you for you the mention. You’re a peach.

Tonight I’m going to be daring and email my $100 Challenge to Critics of Israel to Mearsheimer and Walt, as well as their colleagues Noam Chomsky, Norman Finkelstein, and Juan Cole.

  5. Gary Rosen says:

    aunursa,

If you get a coherent reply from Cole (of course you’re not going to get a factual one) let us know. It could be a first.

  6. Kav says:

Jon Pike has it down about right with the proposed boycott of Israeli universities by Natfhe. I am currently not a member of either AUT or Natfhe, the two academic unions in the UK, and with this proposal I am unlikely to become one until I find out what happens in the vote. I know what should happen; it should be overwhelmingly thrown out. Without even considering the morality of the issue it should be glaringly obvious that it is not the union’s business to even consider things like this. This is one reason why unions piss me off.

By the way, did you know that the AUT membership overturned the previous boycott?
