Iran’s genocidal ambitions

Days after Iran has succeeded in enriching uranium, its president once against announces his country’s intent to destroy Israel.

TEHRAN, Iran — The president of Iran again lashed out at Israel on Friday and said it was “heading toward annihilation,” just days after Tehran raised fears about its nuclear activities by saying it successfully enriched uranium for the first time.

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad called Israel a “permanent threat” to the Middle East that will “soon” be liberated. He also appeared to again question whether the Holocaust really happened.

“Like it or not, the Zionist regime is heading toward annihilation,” Ahmadinejad said at the opening of a conference in support of the Palestinians. “The Zionist regime is a rotten, dried tree that will be eliminated by one storm.”

By “one storm,” of course, he means a nuclear bomb.

“The existence of this (Israeli) regime is a permanent threat” to the Middle East, he added. “Its existence has harmed the dignity of Islamic nations.”

I await the United Nations condemnation of a member nation threatening the destruction of another member nation.

I’m waiting for the UN GA to issue a “How Can We Help?” resolution. As in, helping Iran’s stated goal.

If the Iranian people do not want to be caught in a nuclear crossfire started by their lunatic rulers they had better overthrow the Mullahs now, before they convince others that the only way to deal with a nuclear Iran is to annihilate the place with nukes. Once the Mullahs launch a nuke attack it will be too late.

What part of T-A-R-G-E-T do these clowns not understand? Hey, Mahmoud, one nuke will go down that well in Qom too. Remember that.

As for Israel being a threat, it is a threat only to the inflated and boastful vanity of the Muslims, who think they should rule the Earth and the rest of us be their slaves. The Muslims would have nothing to worry about if they just stopped trying to destroy Israel and kill the Jews. But Israel’s mere existence is a blow to their puffed-up egos.

People who think they are humiliated because they don’t rule the world are not to be trusted with any kind of armaments, let alone nuclear ones. It is getting close to the time when we must take these goons at their word, and deal with their greed for power by any means necessary.

And now for a word from the politically correct Left:

    1. Iran presently has a strong, rational incentive to get nukes. …

    2. Iran has acted rationally and can be reasoned with. …

    3. There is plenty of time to negotiate. …

    4. The Bush Administration’s word is not credible. …

    5. The way to stop Iran, without causing more death, destruction and instability, is to remove the incentives for Iran to go nuclear, and negotiate.

The only way that will happen is if we change leaders in the White House, junk the India deal, dismantle the permanent bases, and clearly renounce neocon foreign policy aims.

As if the “incentives” can be removed without throwing Israel under the bus. But smugness trumps honesty among the politically correct Left.

  4. Michael Lonie says:

I suppose you are right about what the moonbats would say, Alan, but I wish to point out that there is no incentive that can be offerred to the Mullahs that will convince them to stop their nuclear program. Getting nukes is their ticket to the top table, to their place as a great power among the Big Boys. Everybody will fear them when they have nukes, like the smaller kids fear the school bully.

Nuking Israel will accomlish three things for them. First, it will assuage the terrible hurt to their fragile egos that a bunch of dhimmi Jews dares to rule a land where Muslims should be ruling, by Allah.
The second is that it will convince everybody else that this school bully really will beat the crap out of anybody he feels like beating up. Such a reputation will do wonders for Iranian blackmail schemes against the Euros and the Arabs.

Finally, it will also make them appear the strong horse to use Osama’s phrase. This will give their attempts to expand Iranian control in places like the Gulf and the Stans a giant boost. “We are right who are with the strong” is an old Russian peasant proverb, but a lot of other people act in accordance with it too.

I get the impression that the Mullahs believe that the US will not nuke them if they nuke Israel, or they would not be so insoucient about it. After all, the US has had nukes, sometimes in overwhelming numbers versus our enemies, since 1945, and we have never used them since Hiroshima and Nagasaki. What wusses, eh?
