When I lived in Chicago on St. Patrick’s Day you could hardly walk five steps without someone sloshed telling you, “On St. Patrick’s Day we’re all Irish!” I tried responding enthusiastically, “And on Dr. King Day we’re all black!” but somehow that didn’t chime with them.
