The Egyptian plan: Surrender Dorothy!

The Egyptians have a new plan for Israeli-Palestinian peace. Apparently, all Israel has to do is give the Palestinians what they want, and there will be peace. Negotiations? Well, those will be to determine exactly how much of Israel has to be given up in exchange for Ma’ale Adumim and other Jerusalem suburbs. As for east Jerusalem and the Western Wall, well, the Palis get that.

An Egyptian initiative aimed at resuming Israeli-Palestinian peace talks on a permanent agreement includes an Israeli recognition of the 1967 borders and east Jerusalem as the Palestinian state’s capital even before the negotiations are launched, Egyptian newspaper al-Gomhuria reported Wednesday.

Shyeah. That’ll work. It’s the same-old, same-old “Give us everything we want” negotiation tactic that the Arabs have been using since before the modern state of Israel was established. It’s the same mindset that brought about the “Three No’s” of Khartoum. And it is the same mindset that keeps the Palestinians stateless and in the thrall of an Islamist terrorist thugocracy in Gaza, and a secular terrorist thugocracy in the West Bank.

As always, Israel is supposed to grant unilateral “goodwill gestures,” while the Palestinians do—nothing. One of those gestures includes removing even more roadblocks. May I point out that after a roadblock was removed a few weeks ago, Palestinian terrorists murdered an Israeli citizen driving on the road near the former roadblock? Because for sure, the media won’t mention that.

There is also apparently a change in the one-for-one exchange of territory. It is now one for three, in favor, of course, of the Palestinian side.

Yesterday’s reports have the Obama administration on board with this plan. I think I will wait to see confirmation before I rip them three new ones; I’ll save my bile for occasions on which it is actually needed. The lies that come out of the Arab press are more numerous than the stars in heaven.

I will say, though, that Bibi Netanyahu’s return as Prime Minister could not have come at a better time. No way this “peace” plan flies.
