Caturday break

Because we could all use more kitty pictures.

First, Tig under the bed. He’s not hiding. He’s playing. This picture has just about the most accurate portrayal of his eye color. They’re a deep gold.

Tig under the bed

Next we have our nightly ritual, er, except, it was morning. Our daily ritual, then. It’s called “Nom on Mom.” Tig attacks me through my bathrobe. I know they tell you not to let your cats bite as kittens, because then they’ll keep on doing it—but he has no one else to play with. Gracie will play kitty tag at most. And Tig understands “Ow”, “Gentle,” and “No!”

Tig noms Mom

I don’t have bite wounds from him. Only scratches. And those are accidental. (And indicators that his claws need clipping.)

Yeah, those are some toofies. Tig absolutely adores chasing your feet or hands under the covers. Thanks, Mom.

Last, Gracie, doing what she does best: Looking dignfied.

Gracie in the sun

She is once again in my office, which I think is becoming her office. She is very, very happy in our new home. Hell, she has three different bathroom sinks to leap on for petting, and so many sunny spots she doesn’t know which to choose.

We like owning our own home. It’s been four months, and we’re still rather in shock that we no longer live in someone else’s building.

Fabulous! I adore cats, and yours are beautiful. :)

  2. Awwwwwww…cute cats.

  3. John M. says:

Yeah, they’re so cute when they’re playful that a couple of bites are OK.

  4. I was reading over the last bunch of posts in the Cats category. Gracie is no longer losing weight. She gained some. I don’t believe she has cancer, or if she does, it’s certainly not full-blown.

She’s doing just fine these days.

My little guy Orange chews on fingers and like big balls of paper to pounce on or carry.

That is good news about Miss Gracie.

  6. Robert says:

    I love cats! I just can’t eat a whole one…

  7. Rahel says:

Yes, that is wonderful news about Gracie! Thank you for the pictures. (I was starting to go through withdrawal!) Please pet both cats for me.

  8. Richard says:

I live with far too many cats… Don’t clip his claws – that’s part of their hunting equipment…
