Hamas shows Carter that they think peace means war

Doubtless Jimmy Carter will have some kind of explanation for the Hamas attack on the Kerem Shalom border crossing.

Two soldiers were moderately wounded and 11 more sustained light wounds early Saturday morning after a Palestinian terror cell detonated a car bomb at the Kerem Shalom goods crossing near the security fence along the border in the southern Gaza Strip.

Exchanges of fire ensued as IDF troops engaged the Palestinian gunmen, who were apparently attempting to infiltrate the crossing under the cover of heavy fog. A second car bomb, which had also been driven into the crossing, failed to detonate.

The bombing constitutes the fifth Palestinian assault on Gaza border crossings since last week.

The terrorists were also trying to kidnap more soldiers. There will be more attacks.

Palestinian sources report that the Hamas cell tried to use mortar shells and gunfire to distract forces while one or more terrorists tried to cross into the Israeli side of Kerem Shalom.

And Hamas will be using human shields as cover. Watch for it.

At 11:00 a.m. (0900 GMT), about 200 Palestinian women demonstrated in front of Erez crossing linking Israel with northern Gaza Strip and some 20 women gathered in demonstration at Karni commercial crossing in eastern Gaza city.

At Erez, the women stood for one hour about 150 meters away from the Israeli gates, chanting slogans against the Israeli siege and holding Palestinian and Hamas flags. The gatherings ended peacefully.

“Going to demonstrate at the (Israeli) occupation’s crossings around Gaza Strip refute claims that Gaza Strip residents’ explosions were aimed at Egypt,” Hamas said in a statement.

Hamas’ demonstrations came hours after the Islamic movement claimed responsibility for wounding 13 Israeli soldiers in a suicide attack at Kerem Shalom crossing in southeast Gaza Strip.

And when some of the human shields are killed, the world—and brand-new pal and Hamas cheerleader Jimmy Carter—will blame Israel.

The Kerem Shalom crossing is a vital cargo artery, through which dozens of trucks transporting goods into Gaza pass every day. The crossing is not open on Saturdays and troops from the Bedouin Desert Reconnaissance Unit secure the facility.

The IDF has apparently already killed one of the masterminds of the attack. Now that’s good intel.

Several short hours after the combined attack on the Kerem Shalom goods crossing in southern Gaza – one of the Hamas commanders behind the assault has been reported killed in an IDF airstrike on a vehicle transporting armed gunmen in city of Rafah.

Hamas has confirmed the identity of the man killed as Muaa’in Abu Hamduna, a senior official in the group’s military wing – the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades – a resident of the Beit Lahiyah region in northern Gaza.

So. Think Jimmy Carter’s trip to legitimize Hamas talk peace with Hamas was a success?

“Doubtless Jimmy Carter will have some kind of explanation for the Hamas attack on the Kerem Shalom border crossing.”

That’s easy. He’ll blame it on the Jooos.
