Ynet recorded another eruption from that submerged victorious groundhog, the Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah:
According to Nasrallah, Bush views Israel “as a Jewish state, that is, racist…its existence is premised on race. Israel aspires for a racially pure existence.”
Now I am curious: is it the same Hassan Nasrallah that said:
…if [Jews] all gather in Israel, it will save us the trouble of going after them worldwide.
and
If we searched the entire world for a person more cowardly, despicable, weak and feeble in psyche, mind, ideology and religion, we would not find anyone like the Jew. Notice, I do not say the Israeli.
Yep. Notice this.

I give him this: unlike a lot of the Arab propaganda that spews forth from various sources,Hezbollah doesn’t pretend to distinguish between Jews (good as long as they’re not in Israel and remember their proper place as subject people) and Israelis (bad). Hezbollah generally considers one as the other and wants to kill them. To the extent that sincerity is a virtue they geta point.
But as Colombo used to say, just one thing confuses me. If the Israelis, being Jews, are cowardly, despicable, and weak, why don’t the lions of Hezbeollah, their brave and valiant warriors for Allah, face the cowardly Israeli army in open battle rather than hiding behind civilians? Surely such a low and scurvy crew would turn til and flee desperately at the mere sight of the brave Hezbollah fighters?
Good point but the general Arab-party line over the decades, and I assume Nasrallah has some version of it to spew, has been that Israel has only succeeded in battle because of western help — either actual help by western forces as in ’56 and ’67 (though this was an obvious fabrication in 1967 to try to save face), or technical aid by supplying very advanced weapons (ignoring the supplying of weapons to the Arabs by the Soviets and the French,etc)….
