Hamas lies, exposed

It seems that the Hamas op-eds in the New York Tmes, the Washington Post, and the Los Angeles Times were all, shall we say, a bit misleading? Rather than working for peace, Hamas keeps getting caught with its weapons up. And tunnels down.

Ahmed Yousef wrote:

“Palestinians want, on their terms, the same thing Western societies want: self-determination, modernity, access to markets and their own economic power, and freedom for civil society to evolve.”

[…] Our stated aim when we won the election was to effect reform, end corruption and bring economic prosperity to our people. Our sole focus is Palestinian rights and good governance. We now hope to create a climate of peace and tranquillity within our community

Yes, and tunnels into Israel from which they can murder and kidnap Israelis:

The IDF on Tuesday uncovered an underground tunnel leading from the Gaza Strip towards Israel, the army said Wednesday. The tunnel shaft was connected to a Gaza hothouse used to grow tomatoes and situated 700 meters from the border fence.

The tunnel was detonated in a controlled manner by the IDF on Wednesday evening.

Army officials believe that a terror attack had been foiled by uncovering the tunnel. According to estimates, Palestinians planned to use the tunnel in order to smuggle explosives and bomb them under an Israeli military or civilian target.

The IDF was also looking into the possibility that the tunnel was slated to be used to smuggle terrorists into Israel.

And of course, Hamas will deny that they had anything to do with the tunnel. As for the greenhouse where the tunnel originates? That would be one of the greenhouses formerly run by Israelis, bought and paid for by stupid Americans and Europeans who thought that the Palestinians were truly interested in anything but the destruction of Israel.

Unfortunately, the tunnel destroyed yesterday was only one of dozens.

Hopefully, there were terrorists in the tunnel when they blew it up.

First, I realize that it’s impossible to use the land given up for crop growing, and likely for other useful purposes, because the Philistines (yes, that’s exactly who they are,) will do everything they can to dirty the land should they realize their expulsion is imminent.

Still, using this incident as proof, as well as other similar incidents, that’s what Israel should attempt. Simply tell ’em that the land give-away was an experiment, an attempt to encourage good citizenship and neighborlyness on the part of PLO and Hamas, but that it has failed. Sorry. And go get that land back.

And this time, take some Gaza land too, because they need to see that their bad conduct has costs and the currency of land and power is almost all that they seem to understand.

Will it work? No. Probably not. But we get to kill a lot of Philistines in the process. And as raw as this is, unfortunately Israel is in a situation where their neighbors are mere Nazi’s. And it’s us or them. I truly wish it were otherwise, but that’s not what I see ahead. (Does anyone differ?)

I don’t like saying this (since I am a conservative and a Republican,) but the GWB administration has not helped Israel at all. And America encouraged this foolish, even ugly land give-away.

The key phrase is, “on our own terms.” Their terms, which the MSM tries desperately to ignore, require the death of all Jews in the world. Until those terms are met, they will spurn any attempt to grant them self-determination, modernity, access to markets and their own economic power, or freedom for civil society to evolve.

  4. Shimshon says:

Instead on concentrating how to infiltrate Israel and to kill Israelis, they should use there efforts to try to repair there broken society.

  5. Tatterdemalian says:

But if their broken society is ever repaired, their children might not hate the Jews as much. Hate is more important to the Palestinians than life itself; the prospect of condemning their children to a life without hate is something they dare not contemplate, no matter how wealthy they would become in the bargain.
