BAGHDAD, Iraq (AP) – One U.S. soldier was killed and two others were missing Saturday after they were attacked at a traffic checkpoint south of Baghdad.
Coalition forces were searching for the missing soldiers, the military said.
The soldiers came under attack Friday at a traffic checkpoint near Youssifiyah, 12 miles south of Baghdad. A quick reaction force arrived at the scene after hearing small arms fire and explosions.
The Jihadis have been trying for years to capture American soldiers alive. This could be very, very bad.
