Chaos vs. Law: Chaos wins

Yesterday’s rampage by palestinians at the Egypt/Rafah border got the results the terrorists were looking for:

GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip (AP) – Palestinian authorities on Thursday released a militant held in connection with the kidnapping of a British family in Gaza, a day after his followers went on a rampage and smashed holes in a wall along the Egypt border.

Palestinian security officials refused to comment on why they released Alaa al-Hams, a militant from the Al Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades. The group is affiliated with the ruling Fatah Party.

“I was released as a result of the agreement reached between Fatah and the (Palestinian) Authority yesterday. This will calm all types of protests from our side,” al-Hams told The Associated Press by telephone.

I think the Egyptians are going to have something to say about this, though:

Two Egyptian guards were shot dead in clashes on the border after about 300 Palestinians streamed through breaches in the wall. The guards were reported to have been shot by Palestinians.

A security source said four Egyptian guards were seriously injured and were transferred to a hospital in El Arish in the north of Egypt’s Sinai peninsula.

So much for that fabled Muslim brotherhood. Then again, the pals might not have wanted to raise the ire of the Egyptians. They just murdered more than a dozen Sudanese refugees for simply refusing to leave a park.

I said this last September when Israel pulled out of Gaza – “Egypt, enjoy your new neighbors”!

Wait, there’s a wall along the border with Egypt? What a despicable, Apartheid-like, terrorist action.

The guards were reported to have been shot by Palestinians.

Well the video on Israel Channel 10 news last night certainly showed the hooded “thugs” firing, and not up in the air, as the blocks of concrete tumbled down and one could see a vehicle moving in the background on the Egyptian side!

They’ll all blame the Jews of course. It’s Israel’s fault for pulling out of Gaza and bringing the Palestinian Arabs face-to-face with their “Arab Brothers”.

If ever (Lord forbid) the Palis got their wish to destroy Israel and squat in the ruins a gigantic intra-Arab war would soon break out over who was going to rule the remnants. It would be Egypt versus Syria and who knows who else, with the Palis in the middle. Since the chief tactic of Arab warfare seems to be the competitive massacre of civilians (see the Lebanese Civil War for example) after a fairly short time there would not be many Palestinian Arabs left.

The only thing keeping the Arabs from each others’ throats is Israel.
