It’s International Eat an Animal for PETA Day

Happy tenth annual Eat an Animal for PETA Day!

Ten years? Is it really ten years that we’ve been urging people to piss PETA off by eating meat and posting about it?

Why yes, yes it has.

Chicken. Sharing with the resident obligate carnivore.

  2. Elisson says:

For breakfast, sable. Because even a fish has a mother.

  3. Alex Bensky says:

They may have mothers, Elisson, but they’re not as awww-inspiring.

As one of your faithful readers, Meryl, I want you to know that I had turkey sausage for breakfast. I want to make sure PETA knows exactly where I stand, so I’m going to have a double hamburger for lunch. I wasn’t sure whether lambies or chickies or soft-eyed calves were cuter, but Costco had some duck, and surely little is cuter than sweet little duckies, so it’s duck for dinner.

And there is a bottle of Bell’s Two-Hearted Ale, a truly fine IPA brewed right here in Michigan, so that will top off the evening.

Congratulations on ten wonderful years! On Wednesday, it was simple: Spaghetti and homemade turkey meatballs.
