Clare Solomon and her puny 100 years of persecution

In fact, this headline is confusing, I can see it now. Clare Solomon, president of the University of London Union, is only 37 years old. You may want to say that 37 is a bit too old for a student. But you better shut up, because saying this will be ageism and as such a punishable offence in Britain.

So let’s focus on what Ms Solomon says and not on her age and/or looks, please. She says:

The view that Jews have been persecuted all throughout history is one that has been fabricated in the last 100 or so years to justify the persecution of Palestinians.

I read that and went speechless. Really, for crying out loud, what do they teach them students in Britain these days? This is so XX century one wants to cry indeed. Don’t they have enough politically correct Palestinian propag teachers in University of London? Don’t these teachers tell them that it is already for more than 2000 years, since the Crucifixion of Shahid Jesus, a Palestinian, the son of Mary the Palestinian, that these dastardly Zionists persecute and oppress the glorious Palestinian people?

I am afraid that Ms Solomon will celebrate her 47th birthday still as a student in University of London with such pitiful scholarly achievements. And then, who knows – as we Jews say, till 120…

Every school has the perennially crazy 500 credits and counting 40 year old who’s vaguely scary. They’re one step away from being the lunatic preacher in the quad.

  2. Rahel says:

I have a few words for Clare Solomon: York. 1190. Clifford Castle. (See here for more information.)

  3. max says:

It is useless to reason with idiots.

Looks like someone is afraid to be a participant in real life on the outside.
Wonder if she has learned the fine art of diagramming a sentence?
Plus a person can only scream/screech for so many years on a regular basis.

  5. Michael Lonie says:

    Dear Miss Solomon,
    Granada, 1066.
    al-Yemen, 1172.
    The Rhineland, 1095.
    Kishinev, 1906.
    Hebron, 1929.
All massacres of Jews by goyim. There were more of them than these. And that leaves out persecutions that did not entail massacres, like what is going on in Venezuela today. Shall I continue? How about finding out what the facts are before you make an ass of yourself?
    Sincerely,
    Michael Lonie

She’s sure not living up to the reputation for wisdom of her namesake.

“Ms Solomon, who was raised as a Mormon, declined to comment when contacted by The Mail on Sunday but told the Jewish Chronicle newspaper: ‘This badly worded comment was something that I wrote in haste on Facebook. I’m sorry for any misunderstandings.’”

What is this, a standard issue boilerplate “apology,” that’s not actually an apology, for when someone gets caught posting something that is really stupid and/or malevolent? She’s at uni, she should have enough smarts to know better than to put outright lies on her Facebook page. And I don’t think there has been any misunderstanding at all.

Hey, let’s lay off the gibes about “nontraditional students,” shall we?
I have gone back to uni and I’m ah, 39. Yeah, 39, like Jack Benny.

  6. Tony says:

A (“mature”!) student leader with a Jewish-sounding name, but “brought up as a Mormon”, promotes violent protests and spouts anti-Semitic libel – and then apologises for “any misunderstandings” for her “badly worded comment”. Stark raving mad. Illustrates the irrelevance of modern university education to refining the thought processes. She’ll no doubt end up as a Euro Green MEP.
