Four of the victims of the Yeshiva massacre

Four of the young men killed at Mercav Harav have been named:

The murdered were identified as Yohai Lifshitz, 18, of Jerusalem; Yehonatan Yitzhak Alder, 16, of Shilo; Yonadav Haim Hirshfeld, 19, of Kochav Hashahar; and Neria Cohen, 15, of Jerusalem.

The full list, via Dave:

  • Yochai Lipschitz, 18, of Jerusalem
  • Yonatan Yitzchak Eldar, 16, of Shiloh
  • Yonadav Chaim Hirschfeld, 19, of Kochav Hashahar
  • Neriah Cohen, 15, of Jerusalem
  • Roey Roth, 18, of Elkana
  • Segev Pniel Avihayil, 15, of Neveh Daniel
  • Avraham David Moses, 16, of Efrat
  • Maharata Trunoch, 26, of Ashdod.

Note that four of them are minors.

Prediction: You will see neither the names nor the ages of these children anywhere but in the Israeli media. Neither will you hear them described as “youths.” Or “civilians.”

One of them was apparently either my nephew’s roommate or chavruta.

My nephew’s cousins are from Kochav Hashachar, so I’m assuming that Yonadav Hirschfield was a friend of theirs.

Peace will never happen as long as the Arab children are taught to hate. If the Jews were to lay down there weapons they would be killed. If the Arabs were to lay down there weapons there would be peace. I am amazed by the people who have a GOD that can create & do any thing, but needs man to kill his own children. Let GOD worry about his children & lets take care of each other. As a parent would you want to have your children killing each other?
Maybe GOD doesn’t want his kids fighting!

Another prediction: you will not see in the msm the Palestinians taking to the street in joy. You won’t see that so you also won’t see the Palestinians referring to those whose murders they celebrate as “Jews.”

I give the Palis credit for honesty, if nothing else: although you wouldn’t know it from the western media, they don’t distinguish between “Israelis” or “Zionists” on the one hand and “Jews” on the other.

I wonder if this will push Yeshiva-bound boys towards Army service either before Yeshiva or into a program where they do both. I have a nephew who’s trying to decide right now.

And people wonder why the Holocaust happened, it was precisely this kind of indifference and callousness towards the sufferings of innocents. The hatred towards the Jewish people, who have done more good for this world than probably any other group of people never ever ceases to amaze

  6. John M says:

They were teenagers? My gosh, I didn’t know that. What kind of monsters are we dealing with? How much worse can this get?

  7. Michael Lonie says:

    John M.,
Since the Arab goal is the total destruction of Israel and the genocide of the Jews, it could get a lot worse. As Jack G. points out above, if the Jews ever laid down their arms they’d all be killed.

Why so many do not seem to understand this (like Condi Rice) I do not know. Others in the West are copacetic about another Shoah. “Hey, it’s no scales off my sitz-platz,” they say. They are wrong about that though. The Palis are only the cutting edge of the world-wide Jihadist movement. As before, they come for the Jews first, and will come for the rest later.

When the Arabs say “Peace in the Middle East” they mean the destruction of Israel and the genocide of the Jews. When they whine for “American evenhandedness” they mean that we should help them accomplish this evil goal.
