Fatah terrorists murder rabbinic students in Jerusalem

Murderers from Fatah’s terrorist “wing,” the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigade, killed 8 rabbinical students.

Update 6:10 p.m.: It’s not clear who was responsible for the attack yet.

Two terrorists infiltrated a rabbinical seminary at the entrance of Jerusalem and opened fire after nightfall Thursday, police said. The ZAKA emergency response service has confirmed at least eight people have been killed in addition to one of the terrorists.

Ambulances raced to the scene from around the city and paramedics confirmed numerous additional casualties. The gunmen entered a dining hall where about 80 people were gathered, witnesses said, and opened fire.

Gazans are besides themselves with joy celebrating the murder of Jews.

Gaza’s streets filled with joyous crowds of thousands on Thursday evening following the terror attack at a Jerusalem rabbinical seminary in which eight people were killed.

In mosques in Gaza City and northern Gaza, many residents went to perform the prayers of thanksgiving.

Armed men fired in the air in celebration and others passed out sweets to passersby.

The UN Human Wrongs Council passed a resolution condemning Israel’s operation in Gaza. Think they’ll pass one condemning this terrorist action against young men whose only crime was being Jewish and studying Torah?

The UN Human Rights Council on Thursday passed a resolution condemning Israel’s military action in the Gaza Strip.

The resolution says Israeli incursions into the Palestinian territory inflicted collective punishment on the civilian population. It also calls for Palestinian rocket fire into Israel to be stopped.

So, how many anti-Israel resolutions does that make it since the supposed revamp of the UN Human Rights body? All but what, one? two?

Shyeah.

The AP managed to spin this one anti-Israel and make it all the Jews’ fault.

The seminar is the Mercaz Harav yeshiva in the Kiryat Moshe quarter at the entrance to Jerusalem, a well-known center of Jewish studies identified with the leadership of the Jewish settlement movement in the West Bank. Most of the students are high school age.

Oh, so that makes it justified. They’re settlers.

Gee. Mahmoud Abbas keeps assuring us that the Palestinians want peace. And yet, his very own “offshoot,” the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigade, took credit for the mass murder.

Break off the talks. Clean out the terrorists. Then talk.

Such brave and courageous freedom fighters!!

I am convinced that you cannot reason with these savages. Last week I said that if Israel by ACCIDENT hit an Arab school with a rocket and children were killed the whole country would feel remorse, now a barbarian plans and kills Israeli children and the Arab bastards give out candy and celebrate!
I was wrong about being concerned about Phalanx collateral damage, deploy the defensive weapon against Arab terrorist rockets now, and let the extra bullets come down where they may!

  3. Soccerdad says:

Actually, most of the students at Merkaz Harav are not high school age. They’re older.

There is an affiliated high school.

    My nephew isn’t a settler.

Thank God he was learning elsewhere in the Yeshiva when the terrorist struck.

  4. So glad to hear your nephew is all right.

Photos from the scene. Number 19 (I can’t link directly) sums it all up for me.

Thanks for standing with us here in Israel. But please stop acting like you can have your cake and eat it, too.

There is no practical way to differentiate between the “good Gazans held hostage by Hamas” and the “bad terrorist infrastructure”. There is no way to clear out the terrorists while retaining a Gazan populace that we can then “talk to”.

And not just because such infiltration is a key point in modern terror strategy.

Your own blog has documented Pali culture’s descent into depravity – which has successfully brainwashed the younger generation, and is even influencing Israeli Arabs who are living the good, free life – this attack was committed by an East Jerusalem with Israeli citizenship.

Israel and the US are feeling their way in this new type of asymmetrical warfare. So far, they have two options: limited military action that – as we have seen – is easily spun by the terrorists into a “victory” by the new rules of engagement. Or scorched earth excision/expulsion of the Arabs of Gaza.

Despite the wishful thinking in your saber-rattling comments – those are the only realistic options for Israeli action.

Are you willing to support the de-facto expulsion of the entire Gazan population (= a decimating Israeli incursion that precipitates panicked mass exit to Egypt)?

It’s theoretically allowed under the Geneva conventions.

If so – please stop talking as if there will be anyone left to “talk to” after Israel defends itself.

As expected, CBS internet news names
the killer and even his sympathetic sister, but no gives no names for the butchered students!

My anger is for both the savages, and their useful idiots in the so called “liberal” press.

“The family of Alaa Abu Dheim, a 25-year-old from east Jerusalem, said he had carried out the attack. They described him as intensely religious, but said he was not a member of a militant group and had planned to get married in the summer.

Abu Dheim had been transfixed in recent days by the news of bloodshed in Gaza, said his sister, Iman Abu Dheim,”

  8. Anonymous, I don’t believe that it has to come to that. And no, I don’t support expelling the Gazans into Egypt.

The Iraqi situation was declared unwinnable, and yet, we appear to be winning it.

    There must be a way.

WOW, I just looked the UK rag sheet the “INDEPENDENT,” they had a comments section allowing their readers to post their thoughts on the massacre.
The UK has some very sick individuals residing in their country. By over a ten to one ratio, the comments were very hateful towards the Israeli’s, to the point of being psychotic.

Now I know what it was like in the 1930’s for European Jews.

Sadly, just saying “there must be a way” doesn’t always make it so. Even today people still claim “there must be a way” to circumvent the laws of thermodynamics; you can find charletans who post videos of “perpetual motion” machines on YouTube, and try to bilk money out of the gullible and idealistic investors, who ignore the fact that if any of the laws of thermodynamics were to prove invalid, nearly every measuring instrument more advanced than even a simple mercury-filled thermometer would be proven useless for gathering data that all the rest of science (save mathematics) is based on.

Still, human psychology isn’t as fixed as the laws of physics. As long as Israel doesn’t face an existensial threat, their forebearance is noble rather than foolish. The existensial threat, however, does seem to be fast approaching. How much of it is lies intentionally spread by the Pan-Arabs who still believe, despite repeated historical proof to the contrary, that Israel will collapse rather than lash out remains to be seen. I, however, will no more blame Israel for anything it does than I blame George W. Bush for taking seriously Saddam Hussein’s efforts to convince the world he had huge stockpiles of WMDs ready to use. You mess with the bull, you get the horns.
