Shalit’s kidnapper kidnapped

Jews are wicked funny. We really are.

A group of undercover Israeli soldiers disguised as Arabs on Friday kidnapped a senior Hamas member of the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, Hamas’ military wing, near the Rafah crossing in the Gaza Strip, Palestinians sources told Hamas’ website.

Palestinian sources told Ynet that the man was apparently involved in the kidnapping of IDF soldier Gilad Shalit.

I think we get irony better than anyone.

The sources said that the undercover soldiers entered the Gaza Strip, and carried out their operation near the Rafah Crossing. According to the sources, the undercover soldiers were disguised as grocers riding a donkey-pulled wagon. Sources said they disguised force even chatted with locals near the crossing.

And when our plans go well, they really go well.

Al-Kadi was working his land when the disguised force approached and kidnapped him. The Palestinian sources reported that the operation went quickly and smoothly. The undercover force left Rafah with al-Kadi, and brought him to Israel.

According to the report, the operation was carried out about 2 kilometers from the security fence, in an area where a large number of Hamas gunmen are stationed.

Those wily Jews. What will they thnk of next?

Cudos to those wily Jews !!! :-)

  2. Long_Rifle says:

This made my day. I can only hope those “wily Jews” treat him exactly like the Pali’s treat their prisoners……

There’s one way this can be even more deliciously ironic: if the Palis complain about the kidnapping. Keep tabs on this for us, Meryl. I could use a good laugh.

And they might. Arab Muslim culture seems uniquely unempathetic, virtually unable as well as unwilling to consider anyone else’s point of view, even merely to reject it.

It would be better if the interrogation provided a nice long list of Hellfire recipients.

  5. Long_Rifle says:

    Yes, indeed.

You can BET they are trying to find new safe houses as quickly as they can.

I sense a “few” Israeli air flights over Gaza later today….

Of course the AP will only pick up on them if an “innocent” gets killed.

Indian fighting techniques. The closest circumstance of warfare to the Israeli-“Palestinian” conflict is the American-Indian Wars.
They raid and kidnap, you raid and kidnap more effectively.

That makes me feel almost as good as the Entebbe Raid did. This sounds like a true case of the biter bit. And it shows that Zahal has not lost its edge, if only it had good higher direction.

Suck him dry of all intel as quickly as possible then offer to trade him back for Cpl. Shalit, one-for-one.

  8. Joel says:

The funny thing was that Hamas originally thought it was Fatah that kidnapped him but then realized that the kidnapper spared his wife – only the Israelis would spare his family, Arabs would not. Arabs would kill everything – wife, children, mother, plants, dog, etc.

    Beat him please!

  9. Michael Lonie says:

Shame on you Joel. No beatings. Sodium pentathol, it’s more reliable.

  10. Sabba Hillel says:

One good way of handling things might be to publicly thank him for all the intelligence information that he has given to the IDF (after a number of raids) and then threaten to release him. The threat would be so deadly that he would probably beg to be kept in Israely custody.
