People from all over the world are looking for the Saddam execution video.

I’ve gotten search hits from Morocco, Sweden, the Netherlands, Norway, Belgium, Switzerland, Turkey, Denmark, Brazil, Austria, Poland, Portugal, the UK, France, India, Germany—and that’s just in the last hour.

A lot from Norway for some reason.

Funny, I thought Europeans were against the death penalty. Except, whoops, turns out that more than half of various EU nations agree that Saddam should have been executed.

It’s here, folks.

Europeans as individuals are more for the death penalty than their governments will acknowledge.
Especially in the case of devils incarnated.

Nice video, if a little jerky. Curiously, it seems to show that the knot didn’t seem to be set too close to his left ear, as if maybe the executioner wasn’t too concerned about breaking his neck quickly. But the last scene suggests, by the tilt of his head, that it worked correctly after all. So he got off easier than some of his victims–such as the ones fed feet first into the wood chipper.
