The false cease-fire: More kassam launches than before

The IDF has collected the data, and it is inarguable: The cease-fire is an utter sham. The palestinians have launched more kassam rockets into Israel before the IDF exercised “restraint,” and the message is clear: The terrorists will not stop voluntarily.

Information collected by the defense establishment indicates that only during the months of June, July, and November more rockets were fired than in this month of calm. In contrast, during the months of February, April, August, and September, the months where there was no calm, there were less Qassam attacks than during the ceasefire.

The Israel Defense Forces is asserting, therefore, that there is no connection between the IDF’s activities in Gaza and the number of Qasams fired at Israel as retaliation for those activities.

So what is Ehud Olmert doing in response to this information? Ordering checkpoints taken down and talking about releasing prisoners. Why? Because he’s the worst effing prime minister Israel has had in years. He is blind to the damage that his policies are doing, and refuses to follow the advice of the military who, you’d think, know what they’re talking about when it comes to terrorism. And by the way, the pals are back to daily launches, and the rockets are getting better at hitting their targets. They damaged “several structures” at Ashkelon.

But oh, wait. Here’s some real action on Olmert’s part. The Minister of Foreign Affairs ordered Dan Gillerman to lodge a complaint about the kassams with the UN. Yeah, that’ll do a lot of good.

I swear, I’m getting really tired of writing the same posts over and over again. You’d think that the people in Israel would get a clue and shake things up a bit. And I don’t mean by another “disengagement.”

Meryl: Don’t forget the kindergarten that was hit in Sderot the other day. Fortunately, none of the kids who were in the building were injured, but really, it is only a matter of time, isn’t it?

So the real question is, Why did that fool Olmert order the IDF not to take defensive action? What country’s interests is Olmert supposed to be protecting?

  2. Sabba Hillel says:

Obviously the only interests that Olmert is protecting are those of his leftist owners. The idiots are like the Cindy Sheehan, Michael Moore crowd in the US. They cannot bring themselves to admit that they might have made a mistake.

One definition of insanity is continuing to do the ame thing under the exact same conditions and expecting a different result.

One problem is that they are still fighting the war against the religious started by Karl Marx. Somehow they have not realized that the Soviet Union is no more.

When you ar in a hole, the first rule of getting out is to stop digging.

The real agenda is Olmert is waiting for the Philistines to complete their “new” election and hopefully, get rid of hamas as the ruling power. Israel is afraid that any response at this time [and especially an accident] will alienate the Arabs [and Europe] even more and allow hamas to stay in power.

The sad truth is it really does not matter. The Philistines are so engrained in hate that Israel showing restraint only indicates weakness to them. This cycle will continue and G-D forbid, after the next major terror attack, Olmert will be kicked out of office, and Bibi will again become prime minister.
Its just a matter of time, Olmert was a good assistant, but is not capable of being a prime minister, especially during these difficult times.

I have posted this before – I am surprised that Israel has not yet had a military coup. There is an external threat. There is internal dissent across the political spectrum. There is demonstrably incompetent political leadership. All of the classic factors are there.

Uh, Meryl, Olmert is not the president of Israel. As to being the worst prime minister, Neville Olmert may not be the worst but I can’t offhand think of who might be other than Olmert.

  6. Alex, I knew that right after I wrote it, and forgot to correct it. Fixed now, thanks.

Olmert is anything but blind. On the contrary, he knows exactly what he’s doing, i.e., implementing the 2nd Holocaust on the installment plan. A traitor of Biblical proportions.

I have heard that compared to the insane leftists in Israel (including Olmert’s whole damn family), Barbra Streisand is a right-wing hawk. That’s why there’s been no coup, as yet.
