Smaller? I will show you smaller!

“You will not use this word anymore when you see the glorious wrath of the Songun science and industry that will find its apocalyptic pinnacle in my next deed, the deed that will show the whole world what a peerlessly great person I am!”

With this words the diminutive North Korean chief Kim Jong Il threw down the coffee cup and tore into pieces his copy of the Guardian where this blasphemous text has appeared:

A North Korean diplomat admitted yesterday that the country’s nuclear test was smaller than expected, as doubts were expressed in western capitals about North Korea’s claim to have successfully exploded a nuclear weapon.

“I will show you smaller!”, he shouted, spraying the table by crumbs and stormed out of his dining room.

An hour later a new decree by the Central committee of the Glorious Workers’ Party of Korea and it’s great leader Kim Jong Il eliminated the use of the words “small”, “little”, “diminutive”, “miniature”, “minuscule”, “microscopic”, “pocket-sized” and, for some unexplained reason, the word “funny”. All gestures accompanying or related to these words have been also strictly forbidden.

In related news:

Niculae Pavelescu, executive chairman of the Romanian party, in his speech said that the WPK is wisely leading the Korean people to advance invariably along the road of socialism chosen by themselves under Songun policy surely guaranteeing the sovereignty and dignity of the country despite the present complicated situation. Victory and glory are always in store for the WPK rooted deep among the masses, he stressed.

Whatever this means.

The Wall of Death

It has to be a good thing when the enemy names an object of yours “The Wall of Death.”

Security forces on Tuesday night killed a terrorist who tried to infiltrate Israel from the northern Gaza Strip with an explosive belt. The terrorist was shot shortly after crossing the border fence south of the Karni crossin, and his body was later transferred back to the Gaza Strip.

The details of the incident and its circumstances have not been cleared for publication by the defense establishment and the Israel Defense Forces. No details were given on the terrorist and on his organization.

According to military sources, the incident illustrates the high motivation among terror organizations in the Strip to carry out terror attacks against Israeli targets.

According to the sources, although recently terror organizations have begun referring to the Gaza Strip border fence as “the wall of death,” in light of the large number of terrorists killed there since the disengagement plan, there are still attempts to cross the fence.

Works for me. Works for Israel. Works to keep terrorists out.

But you know, it wouldn’t be a “Wall of Death” if the bastards weren’t trying to cross it to kill Israelis.

Let me remind everyone once again that Gaza is no longer an occupied territory. It is its own little chaos-state. Thus, the reason for the terrorist attacks should no longer exist.

Shyeah. Right. Pull the other leg.

Condi goes LLL

Condi Rice has learned LLLeftyspeak:

“The Palestinian people deserve a better life, a life that is rooted in liberty, democracy, uncompromised by violence and terrorism, unburdened by corruption and misrule and forever free of the daily humiliation of occupation,” she told a dinner organized by the American Task Force on Palestine.

“I believe there could be no greater legacy for America than to help bring into being a Palestinian state for people who have suffered too long, have been humiliated too long,” added Rice, whose government is accused by Arab states of siding with Israel in the conflict.

I believe there could be no greater legacy for American than to defeat terrorism worldwide, including the terrorism of the palestinians, who have murdered hundreds of Americans, and who are lending their expertise in murder and constructing bombs to the terrorists who are murdering Americans in Iraq.

“Either you are a peaceful political party or a violent terrorist group. You cannot be both,” Rice said of Hamas.

Obviously, you can. Just look at Fatah, which has a “political” and “military” wing. All you have to do is say you want peace, and therefore, you are peaceful.

Tell me again how the Republicans are better friends of Israel. Because I’m not quite believing it at this point.

I’m back with the Democrats for sure, now. At least I know where I stand with them.

The priorities of the United Nations

So let’s see if we can track the UN’s thinking for now.

U.N. Disagrees on Sanctions Against Iran
VIENNA, Austria Oct 11, 2006 (AP)— The five permanent members of the U.N. Security Council agreed Wednesday to start working on U.N. sanctions against Iran next week, but failed to bridge differences on how harsh the penalties should be, diplomats and officials said.

They told The Associated Press that while the U.S. called for broad sanctions to punish Iran’s defiance in pursuing its nuclear program, Russian and Chinese representatives at a top-level Vienna meeting favored less severe measures.

The UN can’t agree to do something about Iran, in spite of the fact that Iran is in violation of UN resolutions.

The UN can’t agree about Korea, either.

U.N. Chief Urges U.S.: Talk to N. Korea
UNITED NATIONS Oct 11, 2006 (AP)— Secretary-General Kofi Annan urged the United States on Wednesday to hold bilateral talks with North Korea and called on the communist nation not to escalate an “extremely difficult” situation.

The UN wants American to talk to the country that just (possibly) joined the nuclear club, violating treaties with great abandon (in spite of what Jimmy the Dhimmi lies about his efforts there under the Clinton Administration).

Isn’t there anything the UN can agree on?

U.N. Notes Increase in Israeli Roadblocks
JERUSALEM Oct 11, 2006 (AP)— Israel’s network of military checkpoints and road barriers in the West Bank has grown by 40 percent in the past year, part of an increasingly sophisticated system of controls that disrupts all aspects of Palestinian life, a U.N. agency said Wednesday.

These physical obstacles are carving up the West Bank into separate parts, with travel between them becoming more and more difficult, said David Shearer, head of the U.N.’s Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in Jerusalem.

U.N. officials in Geneva, meanwhile, expressed concern about the ongoing closure of the Gaza Strip, including the crossing between Gaza and Egypt.

“It cannot continue like it is now without a social explosion that will hurt everybody, including Israeli security,” said Jan Egeland, the U.N. humanitarian chief.

Ah, there we go. The UN can still agree that no matter what Israel does is wrong. And get a load of this statement, three paragraphs down from the above quote by Egeland:

In Brussels, Belgium, the EU said Wednesday it had given $816 million in aid to the Palestinians this year, bypassing the Hamas government.

But—but—this whole story is about how the palestinians are oppressed and starving and running out of food and water because of the oppressive closures and roadblocks the Israelis are placing on the poor, poor, pitiful pals. I don’t understand—you mean to say they’ve been giving eight-tenths of a billion dollars and there’s a full quarter left to the fiscal year, and they’re still in dire need of economic assistance?

Shyeah.

Yet another lie the world perpetuates at Israel’s expense.

I wonder how many tons of weapons the EU dollars bought?

Yet another reason why Omri is right that there won’t be a palestinian civil war. They’re not in dire straits at all. It’s all an act.

The face of treason

The first treason charge in the U.S. in 54 years has been initiated for Adam Gadahn, the American Al Qaeda traitor.

TraitorWASHINGTON, Oct. 11, 2006 — Adam Gadahn, a former resident of Orange County, Calif., turned propagandist for al Qaeda has been indicted by a federal grand jury for treason and for providing material support to al Qaeda.

Since 2004, Gadahn has appeared in a series of videos in which he praises the Sept. 11, 2001, hijackers and claimed, “The streets of America shall run red with blood.” The first video of Gadahn was initially aired by ABC News in October 2004. “Adam Gadahn is an American citizen who made a choice. He chose to join our enemy and to provide it with aid and comfort by acting as a propagandist for al Qaeda,” U.S. Deputy Attorney General Paul McNulty said in announcing the indictment.

Gadahn, who has also called himself Azzam the American in Internet videos, is the first person to face treason charges in the United States since a l U.S.-Japanese citizen was charged in 1952 for abusing U.S. prisoners of war during World War II.

Someone should clue in Dean Esmay that this is the face of a traitor—not someone who calls Muslim jihadists fascists.

Treason is the act of betraying your nation. “Traitor” isn’t a word to be bandied about because you’re mad at the way someone writes about Muslims. Well, unless you like misusing words. As a famous (fictional) Spaniard once said: I do not think that word means what you think it means.
