The IDF says Hezbullah is preventing civilians from fleeing the battle.

The IDF has found that Hizbullah is preventing civilians from leaving villages in southern Lebanon. Roadblocks have been set up outside some of the villages to prevent residents from leaving, while in other villages Hizbullah is preventing UN representatives from entering, who are trying to help residents leave. In two villages, exchanges of fire between residents and Hizbullah have broken out. (Hanan Greenberg)

Words fail me.

Is anyone shocked that the UN, now with first-hand knowlege of Hizbollah atrocities against Lebanese civilians, does and says NOTHING?????

    Farkin’ Annan…………..

Of course, the cynic in me would say that the UN’s silence on this issue is because it might bolster the Israeli case, and God forbid the UN should ever let that happen.

    Moral equivalence…

All they want is to kill Jews/Israelis. And if they have to kill some Lebanese to do that, they’re happy to do so….

And will we ever see this story reported in the MSM? I think not.

Meryl, I hope you see this and spread it in the States:
Solana: No sufficient data to include Hizbullah in terror organizations’ list

The United Nations High Representative of the Common Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP) Javier Solana said during a press conference with Minister of Foreign Affairs Tzipi Livni that the UN has no sufficient data to determine whether the Hizbullah can be included in the list of terror organizations. He also added that the issue at hand is legal, not ethical. (Ronny Sofer)
