Gaza ultimatums

So which ultimatum do you think is going to win the day? This one:

“We give the Zionist enemy until 6:00 tomorrow morning, Tuesday, July 4,” the groups said in their statement, which was also faxed to news agencies.

“If the enemy does not respond to our humanitarian demands mentioned in previous leaflets on the conditions for dealing with the case of the missing soldier … we will consider the soldier’s case to be closed,” it said. “And then the enemy must bear all the consequences of the future results.”

Or this one:

“There will be no negotiations to release prisoners,” the statement said. It added that Israel held the Palestinian Authority fully responsible for Shalit’s well being, and his return safe and sound to Israel.

This one:

Al-Qassam Brigades, armed wing of Palestinian ruling Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), threatened on Sunday to hit targets into Israel similar to the targets that the Israeli air forces had hit in the last few days.

Or this one:

Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, speaking in Jerusalem, said: “Yesterday I ordered army commanders to prepare our forces for a long and ongoing military operation in order to strike terror and its commanders. We will get to everyone wherever they are. There will be no immunity for anyone.”

I have my thoughts on the matter, but I will wait and see what happens. Consider the above your terrorism eye test.

Olmert’s about right. It’s the summer. You want want to scare arriving tourists with “all out war.” And, it seems Amir Peretz isn’t making public mistakes. He’s not like Shimon Peres, who always makes diplomatic mistakes. And, suffers when the cameras are not on him.

And, no cameras are on Shimon Peres!

Olmert must be known as a professional, among all the knesset ministers; because they’re afraid of him.

He also is an INTELLECTUAL, in the sense that he’s a professional politician who knows his stuff. (And, he knows he’s not loved as Arik Sharon had been.)

I’ve also suspected that shalit’s dead; and worse, was tortured. Before “bigger wigs, or tablecloths, got involved.” And, the bargaining chip was lost.)

Up ahead? If Kassams fly out of gaza, then the low flying jets continue to roar. Sleepless nights, fer shur, for those in gaza. Olmert says they will get this in response for causing sleepless nights to children in Israel. And, all’s fair, here.

I also read “weakness” into haniyeh’s threats. It’s as if he wants to stop what’s going on. And, he owns no other voice. But he looks, now, in expression, just like someone would look if their office was shot to pieces. And, the suitcase with the money is gone.

Sure, there’s still a lot of settler anger out there directed at the Disengagement. As to “convergence,” to make you feel better, you can call it: MORONIC CONVERGENCE. It’s not going to happen on a one-sided deal. And, the arabs are MORE afraid of losing, themselves, if they get their own state, and thugs run this “entity.” And, local militias shoot to gain territory.

I also hope kids stop hitchiking to ramallah. There’s something about kids who don’t take, seriously, what it means to go places “without wearing a helmet.” They usually learn only after a playmate falls. But it was one of the contributing factors, here. And, now? Well, the businessmen in ramallah, will see less traffic. Including less tourist traffic.

I’ve never seen people stupider than arabs. Unwilling to work hard, if they can avoid work. And, unwilling to take responsiblity when it should rest with the adults. But their excuses are producing less customers, too.

    Hey Meryl,

You get the popcorn, I’ll get the marshmellows and weinies (Hebrew Nationals – for the descerning kosher taste…).

My bets are on Olmerts’ Ultimatum. But then I might be a leettle biased. ;)

As I said at the very beginning, I think Gilad Shalit is already dead. The Philistines are in a rock and a hard place while they scurry around and trying to find a way out of this predicament. That is why they raised teh stakes so high.

Israel (I’m guessing) already knows of his ‘fate’ and milking it for all its worth – and that is why they have called the Palestinian bluff.

I better stop guessing and start the fire for the Marshmellows & wienies…
