Hate crimes: It isn’t Muslims they’re attacking

Conventional wisdom by the major Muslim groups like CAIR says that attacks against Muslims have risen sharply since 2001. They say that they are the victims of the upsurge in hatred in the United States, and that Jews are unaffected by the events of the past few years.

The FBI says otherwise.

In its 2004 Crime Report, we find the following statistics:

“Victims of religious intolerance made up 16.7 percent of the victims of incidents involving a single bias. Of those, 67.8 percent were victims of anti-Jewish bias, and 12.7 percent were targets of anti-Islamic bias.”

Fully two-thirds of all religious hate crimes in America were against Jews.

I will have much more on this tonight when I can read the report at length.

Hat tip: Gary R.

By the way, watch for the spin from CAIR et. al., trying to downplay these statistics. Five bucks says they’re accuse Jews of using these statistics to gain something.

So, the use of the word “neo-con” is harmless, eh?

Right.

Thanks for the HT, Meryl. Unfortunately, CAIR probably won’t have to spin at all because this statistic is getting approximately zero attention from the MSM.
