Because it’s such an easy language to learn: Arab members of the World Trade Organization want Arabic to be the fourth official language of the WTO. Because three aren’t enough official languages, I suppose. And Arabic is so easy, it’s just like English, Spanish and French. Except that it’s not. Say, what are the GDPs of all the Arabic-speaking nations put together? Think they’d equal Israel’s output if you took away oil? (Yeah, I know, low blow.)

Ding, dong the bill is dead: Which old bill? The healthcare bill. Ding dong, the healthcare bill is dead. Hi ho the merry-o, sing it high, sing it low, this is rich, the healthcare bill is dead!

I know, it’s a shock—no timely Palestinian elections: Of course they didn’t hold new parliamentary elections. Hamas would lose Gaza, at least in name, and the PA wouldn’t do so well in the West Bank. But there is no such thing as an Arab democracy anywhere in the world, so why would anyone be surprised?

Is that the smell of old-fashioned Polish Jew-hatred? Why yes, yes it is. Polish Catholic, no less, and from a bishop, no less. It’s nothing that hasn’t been said before.

Accusing Jews of “intolerable arrogance,” he said they “enjoy good press because they are supported by powerful financial means, enormous power and the unconditional backing of the United States.”

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Time for the Yourish.com mantra: Anti-Semites of the world, just die already. Retired Polish bishops included.

The new, transparent Congress, the most ethical Congress ever according to Nancy Pelosi, voted on the cloture bill to the health care amendment while America slept.

My healthcare costs will double if this abomination goes through, and millions of uninsured Americans will remain uninsured ten years after the bill is passed. So what, exactly, is its purpose? Oh, right. To give Congress control over one-sixth of the American economy.

Throw the bums out in 2010.

I wonder if we can recall Warner here in VA.

Weapons? What weapons? The man who organized the collection of thousands of tons of weapons and ammunition for Yasser Arafat was finally convicted by an Israeli court.

Weapons? What weapons? The man who organized the collection of thousands of tons of weapons and ammunition for Yasser Arafat was finally convicted by an Israeli court. He maintains that he was innocent, of course. He was just the guy who paid the PA salaries, you see. He’s also one of the Palestinian prisoners that the IDF raided out of the prison in Jericho before the PA was going to release him. Sucks to be him today.

Doesn’t matter, the world will still cry war crimes when the buildings go down. The IDF is going to tell Palestinians exactly when the missile strikes will come in order to precipitate fewer civilian casualties. Unbelievable. Is there any other nation in the world that tries so hard not to harm civilians? Of course not. Does this mean that Israel will be commended for these actions? Of course not.

So what if he’s a terrorist? He’s a teacher too, isn’t he? A Canadian university hired a man who is under house arrest on terrorism charges to teach a class at university this summer. Because hey, just because he’s fighting extradition on terrorism charges to France doesn’t mean that he can’t collect a salary teaching young, impressional minds, right? Wrong. After Canada’s B’nai B’rith protested, the university decided that perhaps they should have someone else teach the course.

Peace Now: Always striking the right chord. You know, the group really is full of idiots. On Erev Tisha b’Av, the eve of the commemoration of the destruction of the Temples, Peace Now is going to hang posters all over Jerusalem, saying that settlements are going to destroy the Third Temple. Nice. Because that’s going to really change people’s minds, isn’t it? (Insert Standard Eye Roll #34 here.)

Boy, were we wrong about that disengagement thing! A new poll out says that 68% of Israelis who supported disengagement changed their minds. Yeah, good luck getting Israel out of Ma’ale Adumim, Obama.

Obama to America: Still lying about healthcare reform. Really, does this man ever stop? Now he’s trying to sell his plan as one that will protect consumers. Right. It will protect us by forcing us into a single-payer system, just like his idols in Canada and Europe. Here’s what he wants now:

Insurers would be barred from refusing coverage because of pre-existing conditions, scaling back insurance for people who fall very ill, charging more for services based on gender, and placing caps on coverage.

Oh, that won’t raise prices at all. And on that pre-existing conditions thing: I had to wait six months for a pre-existing condition to be covered by my insurance plan when I went from having none for several years to having insurance again. Anyone out there ever been barred completely—and forever—by insurance companies for a pre-existing condition? Mind you, I’m all for reform of that one. But it can be done without passing ObamaCare.

Psych! Iranian Vice President Esfandiar Rahim Mashai, the man who said that Iran was a friend to all people, says it was all just a sneaky form of psychological warfare.

Psych! Iranian Vice President Esfandiar Rahim Mashai, the man who said that Iran was a friend to all people, says it was all just a sneaky form of psychological warfare. Those wily Persians. They want us to think that Iran is friendly to Israel because—because—well, the theory breaks down here, but never mind. It’s still psychological warfare that shows the superiority of the Iranian regime. Excuse me while I snicker quietly over here. Update: Whoops, it didn’t work. The guy was fired.

Hypocrisy alert: Egypt lectures Israel on ethics. Really, can you stomach this bull? Egyptian negotiators are telling Israel that it is “unacceptable from a moral and human point of view” for Israel to demand the deportation of convicted terrorist murderers. This, mind you, is the country that regularly murders African refugees on its borders. Shoots them in the back, even.

Hizbullah to UNIFIL: How dare you do your job? Don’t worry, I’m sure they’ll stop doing it. They’ll be back to their anti-Israel selves fairly quickly.

Red on Red: Hamas blew up a Dahlan wedding. Or maybe it was another Palestinian clan. You really can’t tell in that miasma of blood-debts and tribalism that is the Gaza Strip. What you can say is that it’s barbaric and cruel, and will not be covered by the same wire services that rush to cover every instance of a Palestinian stubbing his toe at an Israeli checkpoint.

I hate to say this, but the judge is right: Bill White, disgusting neo-Nazi, had his charges dismissed on First Amendment grounds. And I have to say that I have finally come to the conclusion that hate crimes laws are wrong. Which leads me to wonder: When the Senate hate crimes legislation is written into law, and they go after White again, will the new Supreme Court (presumably with Sotomayor aboard) find them unconstitutional?

I want my plan and I want it NOW: Whoops. Looks like Obama may have to wait for ObamaCare, after all. Even the Dems are pushing back at the plan. And tonight, a primetime news conference to interrupt—well, it’s rerun season, so who cares? If someone will pay me, I’ll listen to the news conference. No, strike that. I think I’ll watch it anyway—if Tapper’s there, there will be at least one great question. Jake Tapper is the best MSM journalist around today. If you’re not paying attention to him, you should be. He is one of the truly objective reporters on air or off.
