I drove up to nothern VA, came home, worked a couple more hours, ate dinner, and, well, have no energy to post. And there’s a new Heroes episode tonight.
Plus, from about eleven o’clock last night until eight o’clock this morning, my perimenopause was working overtime on the hot flashes. I was sweating for nine solid hours. You know, it felt like those long summer nights when I was a kid, and we didn’t have air conditioning.
Wow, middle age sucks.
Then again, consider the alternative.
I’ll be back in the morning. You can use this post to discuss tonight’s Heroes episode, or anything else on your minds.
Oh. Got a call from the doctor, who told me that the reason I’m feeling crappy (and those were the medical terms he used, “feeling crappy”) is because I do, indeed, have a virus. Translation of his message: Suck it up and let your body heal.
I’m actually not feeling half-bad today. Still have a below normal temp, but, well, I’m getting used to that.

Sorry you’ve got a case of the icks.
For the power surges, vivelle dot. Works wonders, helps with the sweats, insomnia and other things.
Sucks being older too, although no hot flashes. I remember drinking lots of ice water, it helped some.
Heroes was interesting tonight. Wonder where they will go with the airplane crash? And Claire’s dad surprised me, not to be trusted.
Hope you get to feeling better soon.
Meryl, I hope you feel better soon! Refua shlema!
I’m kinda there with you, Meryl, about the sweats, But that’s because my new place is HOT — it’s been as high as 95 on occasion. Be better, will ya?
But about Heroes… not too shabby. But I worry the creators’ plan of reviving things by going all “Lost” into “Prison Break” will work that well.
The immediate followup of Parkman’s first drawing exercise reminded me very much of Hiro’s attempts to capture the guy in Africa, though… and I laughed just as hard this time over the same gag.
