This is an important point which almost no one understands. Netanyahu is very much a centrist. His policies are almost indistiguishable from Olmert&#039;s. 

When Olmert or Barak allowed building in Judea and Samaria it didn&#039;t make headlines worldwide because the Israeli press supported them. Barak of the leftwing Labor Party allowed more construction than any other PM since the Oslo Accords were signed.

Netanyahu is definitely very mainstream. He&#039;s certainly at the extreme left of his party.]]></description>
