That sentence denies reality in so many ways but the one that bothers me the most is that it puts the cart before the horse and then eats the horse.

That particular Intifada was started as a response to the Camp David talks, the Israelis tried to give the Arafish almost all of what he claimed to want so he had to start a war to head off the chance that Israel would offer everything they claimed to want.
