So what? Does that make this right? George Bush made a campaign promise to sign the embassy act in his first week of office. He and Clinton were the only two to make that promise. I was not surprised that Clinton broke it however I was shocked that Bush did and so should you. For that promise he was elevated as the “best friend to Israel.” I suggest getting a tougher skin. George Bush is no more a God than Obama. He lied to his supporters. He lied to Jews like myself to vote for him. Our dead were barely cold when all that money was dumped into the PA coffers. Our dead were barely cold when the George Bush formulated quartet for peace was forced down the throat of Israel.

I know who my enemies are many of whom are democrats. Nothing they say or do can surprise me. Bush was a wolf in sheep’s clothing and I suggest to anyone to toughen their skin about Bush because he was no friend to Israel.

George Bush lied to me so this is not Bush Bashing. Bush made it clear just like Obama in the most public of all forums that the “daily humiliation of occupation must end and that the future Palestine must be viable, contiguous and not resemble swiss cheese.” To do that there can not be an undivided Jerusalem.

Furthermore, as I often remind democrats, I will say to you, I only have one G-d.

In closing how people can maintain being “friends of Israel” yet have the thinnest of all skin even knowing what Bush did to Israel proves my point over and over again that Israel is no more than political fodder. All of a sudden my republican compatriots care!! But care how much to learn a painful lesson is quite another story.

Number 4#. With Daddy Bush there were no illusions. Daddy Bush did not pretend or make campaign promises nor was he thought to be the best friend to Israel. …..Therein lies the rub, indeed.

this is actually very strange. such a decision (i.e., a decision not to act) would be more characteristic of Bush 41, whose sometimes .. chilly relations with the Jewish community contributed substantially to Clinton’s victory in ’92. and once this Iran business is taken care of, American foreign policy is going to be in a strange, strange place: Saudi Arabia or Israel? if the American people have any influence over the decisions of our politicians and State Department (and it will be *about time*), it will be Israel that will be embraced .. and the Saudis – at long last – asked to make some *real* changes in their sh_tty (pardon my language) Kingdom.

The EU along with the UN (which I thought was detested by most republicans) and Russia, ISRAEL/JEW HATERS ALL, were appointed to the George Bush U.S formulated ‘quartet for peace’ by George Bush. Come on folks!! Why are you surprised?

And when it comes to the heart of all Jews, our beloved Jerusalem it was our friend George Bush who went bad on his campaign promise to sign the Embassy Act in his first week of office. Face it, Jerusalem would not be such a contentious and heart rendering issue if that embassy act was signed. It was not signed to appease Abbas the holocaust denier George Bush called a “man of peace.” It was not signed to appease all of the Arab/Muslim/Islamic world. (LOL, post 9-11 war on terror of all things) It was not signed my dear friends because our friend did not believe JERUSALEM TO BE THE UNDIVIDED CAPITAL OF ISRAEL. Period. There you have it. So please do not be surprised or angry at the behavior of our enemies when our friends deceive us.

What is most sad is those supporters of George Bush especially those supporters by the thousands in the hierarchy of my Republican party missed a golden opportunity to use their influence to sway the president from making so so bad a promise so essential to the very future of Jerusalem. Now we cry.
