The Martin Luther King letter is a hoax. However Rep. John Lewis (D-GA) confirms that King DID say, “When people criticize Zionists they mean Jews, you are talking anti-Semitism.” See this CAMERA post that quotes Lewis’ op-ed in the January 21, 2002 San Francisco Chronicle.

In reply to long_rifle. Long rifle, the other side have warped the true definition of Zionism beyond recognition. And even though Martin Luther King never said the quote that is attributed to him, when they say "Zionists," they mean "Jews." So yes, you can be a Zionist and not be Jewish. My definition above is the true one.

So to be clear. Even non-Jews can be Zionists? I never really thought of myself as such. But I clearly fit the definition.

I don’t understand, they have the other 99 percent of the internet to bash Jews, and call for the destruction of Israel. Why do they want the other 1 percent?

It’s good to have a place where I can come, and make comments that won’t be trashed by BS and lies. It’s amazing to see how hate will override peoples logic, and intelligence. Though, I’m sure most of the “haters” have a severe lack of both.
