Hundreds of thousands dead, Meryl? In the Congo, that’s a couple of months. Darfur can prompt some outrage, some sympathy. No one gives a flying…no one gives a damn. The num ber of Palestinians killed by Israel is endlessly trotted out-curiously enough, the Palestinian fatalities are heavily weighted towards men whereas Israel’s tend to be fifty-fifty, indicating that Israel in fact is not wantonly shooting down civilians. Still, a misaimed Hellfire or artillery shell draws the world’s condemnation.

Millions, literally millions, in the Congo. Who cares. Apparently when Jews do it…nah, that would be cynical.

Your analysis is perfect on this one, no mention of the Darfur human disaster in the rest of the press, no liberal groups screaming for â€œjustice,â€ and the rest of the UN silent when Israel is not involved.

The hypocrisy could not be more profound. 300,000 dead in Darfur and over 5 MILLION dead in the last ten years in Congo.

It’s obvious that these so-called “human rights activists” are entirely full of shit. They only seem to care when they have an opportunity to bash the hell out of Israel.

Otherwise, nothing but crickets.
