If I had to swallow this crap on a regular basis, I’d have some pretty tough worldviews myself. Also, the Orthodox Cult of Moldova may want to open a New Testament – why? Because that’s where they’ll find the story of Chanukka! That’s right, Judas the Maccabee didn’t make the Jewish edition of the Bible (it ends with the building of the Second Temple) but it sure as hell appears in the Christian one, which makes it:

a) a holiday which is at the very least officially recognized by all sects and cults of Christianity and
b) means the victory is not against all non-Jews but specifically Hellenstic pagans who attempted to wipe out Judaism. Which incidentally means that
c) without Chanukka, there would be not Christianity, since had the Seleucids won, Jesus would never have been born a century and a half later.
