At that point the slightest injury to an African would become the subject of a potential UN resolution.

Jewish blood is pretty cheap, though, to most of the world. Less so in the US, yet another reason to accept and embrace the idea of American exceptionalism.

Many US Leftists said we shouldn’t send troops to liberate Iraq because “they” weren’t worth American lives, and “they” couldn’t understand democracy anyway. I think what you’re encountering, what all of us are dealing with, is the Liberal Superiority Complex, brought about by “Outcome Based Education.” Who cares about Africa? Christians, mainly, and George W. Bush, who spent more money in Africa than any other US President, and did more to fight AIDS on the continent than a hundred self-righteous rock stars. Believe it or not, as a Christian, I often find myself as the only one in a group or milieu, and am often in the uncomfortable position of “explaining” why we’re so ignorant and backwards, and why we believe in “fairy tales.” As I was discussing this morning on an internet forum, Liberals don’t need to understand, comprehend, believe, nor even understand something to ridicule it, they simply have to disagree with it, regardless of whether or not they can even verbalize that disagreement. Ask a Palestinian why he hates Jews, he’ll repeat a hundred reasons why, of the hundreds of reasons he’s heard, but won’t give you a single reason of his own. Liberals will spout talking points endlessly, and never give you their own opinions – because they have none. Your African friend understands better than you know – patronization is the way of the Left. Why should Israel care if the EU doen’t “agree” with the war and demands peace? It’s not like the French Army is going to invade Jerusalem. British Commandos aren’t going to parachute into Tel Aviv. Leftists don’t have the courage to back up their convictions, they just whine until they get their way.
