A lock should do it and reloading your own bullets is easy to learn if you are so inclined. But keep Tig away from that too.

BTW, after you have taken enough lessons to have some proficiency, including basic maintenance, your instructor should be able to direct you to group of suitable handguns for your size, trigger strength, and how you will carry it. My suggestion is to choose a weapon that you will carry on your person, never in your purse.

The idea that the Jews had to be granted permission to defend themselves by the king so does not compute to American sensibilities that I think that idea needs to be pointed out to Jews occasionally, and tied in to a call for us to support Second Amendment rights.
