Yes, I was told he's a Maine Coon mix. He sure seems to be one. He has the coat, the fur between the toes, the ear tufts, and the chirruping. Plus, he has that mellow, laid back personality. And that tail.

But even if he's not, he's a very good successor to my second Tig. (Who was an excellent successor to my first Tig.)

Gracie still doesn't like him, but I think she's going to eventually accept him.

Well, yes and no. They ate side-by-side on Saturday, but she's stil hissing and growling when he gets too close most of the time.

But she's not swatting him any more. I'm not really worried she'll hurt him again. I took her in to get her claws clipped. My vet doesn't charge an office visit for that. Phew.

On the other hand, Tig lets me do anything to him, so I doubt I'll be letting the vet clip them again. He's the most mellow cat I've ever had when it comes to things like letting me clean his paws when he (sigh) steps in poop, or even cut off his fur when it gets gunk in it. He just lies there in my arms and lets me do what needs to be done.

I really hit the jackpot with this one.
