My wife and I haven’t had much experience with French cinema beyond the short in Monty Python’s Meaning of Life {Fishy fishy fishy FISH! :) }. It probably works much better if you’re familiar with French noir.

I DO always wonder if the translation is accurate; I know that sometimes, it isn’t even close, if the actor knows that he isn’t playing for an audience that actually knows the language, he can get away with saying most anything…
