Yeah, the other day I was at work and my wife took our other three cats to the vet, so our little black one was the ONLY ANIMAL IN THE HOUSE. For the first time in her life! She’s must have absolutely loved it.

I can’t. My cats are too territorial. Gracie may not be the one that actually went out and fought the interlopers–she ran away, actually–but that doesn’t mean she’ll stand for one in her home.

I would love to get another Tig. But I’m going to have to wait until Gracie is gone. She really loves being an only cat.

What a pretty fuzzball.

You might want to think about getting Gracie a companion pretty soon. Lots of little kittens at the shelter ready to soak up some Meryl love.

Tig was a beautiful cat and I always looked forward to your posts with his picture; thanks for giving us another one!

I still miss the first stray cat that adopted my family about nine years ago, just three years before her death — I think of her as an angel in the “messenger from god” sense (she even strolled into our house the first time when we opened the door for Elijah one pesach!). She taught us that at least part of the reason we’re on this earth is to share our lives with cats. Who knew?

The two cats we now have — while wonderful and unique in their own right — are, in part, memorials to her.
