If they want war give it to them, more than they care to stomach. Israel should make Gaza a ghost town in return, driving out all the inhabitants of the Gaza Strip into Egypt and killing all the Hamas and Fatah scum the Israelis can catch. Say to them “If you will not live at peace with Jewish neighbors you must go find neighbors with whom you are willing to live at peace.”

Then turn to the West Bank and say “You get the same choice. Which do you choose?”

There is nothing Israel can do to end the war, except fight on the same terms as the Arabs. That’s barring a surrender to genocide, of course, which would certainly end the war in the fashion the Arabs want. The initiative is entirely in Arab hands, for peace or war. Few of them want peace, even among those whose countries have peace treaties with Israel.
