But Hamas are Palestinians as well. They are not strangers from another planet.

Unfortunately they are not Palestinian; they are Muslim Brotherhood. As far as Palestinians are concerned, they may as well have dropped from another planet, certainly from a very different civilization.

But since Palestinians themselves invent their traditions as they go along, perhaps Hamas will eventually become the norm to be defended.

Only the drum is allowed. They say any other instrument is not mentioned in the Koran.

I need to research this. Are AK-47s and electricity mentioned in the Koran?

Well at least he recognizes what the palestinians (Arabs from Egypt and the portions of the Ottonman empire that are now called Syria and Jordan) really are.
