Palestinians fire mortar shells at major humanitarian passageway in southern
Gaza Strip

Two mortar shells were fired a short while ago at the Kerem Shalom crossing
in the southern Gaza Strip, one of them hit the crossing directly.

The Kerem Shalom goods-crossing has been extensively used for the passage of
humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip in recent weeks, including the daily
transfer of thousands of tons of food, medicine and additional humanitarian
supplies.

Today, a total of 13 mortar shells were fired from the Gaza Strip towards
Israel.

Palestinian rocket-fire incited by terrorist organizations severely disrupts
the functioning of the crossings and as a result prevents humanitarian
assistance from being delivered to the Palestinian population.
