It is a matter of returning stolen property. It’s a well-known fact that many of the recipients of that property worked very hard to delay any kind of action in the hopes that the survivors would die first.

And Swiss banks still haven’t fairly recompensed the Jews they stole from.

Also they do not want to have to admit that they stole the bank accounts of the Jews that the Nazis did not get their hands on.
