Meryl, you are, of course correct: God will, ultimately, ensure that Israel is saved.

One of my favorite quotations along those lines is from Psalm 121:

4 Behold, He that keepeth Israel doth neither slumber nor sleep.

5 HaShem is thy keeper.

In the here and now, though, we are the ones who need to protect Israel and the rest of humanity from militant Islam.

Jack, you may be right in the part of taking Mahmoud the Mad seriously, and I believe there are people who are in charge of that task.

However, saying this and with all due respect: how does a Jew pass through life being serious all the time? Don’t you think that it could be against the Jewish soul and that there is a danger that something might be lost on our way to the world where all is well?

Jack, it is easy to make fun of Gorilla Boy. But that doesn’t mean he isn’t being taken seriously.

On the other hand, I am a woman of faith. I don’t believe that the Gd of Abraham is about to let Israel disappear. On the contrary, Iran is going to suffer for attacking Israel.

All of her enemies do, eventually.

O Mahmud, father of lies, the adults are becoming impatient with your arrogance and threats. Amend your ways to walk peacefully in the path of righteousness, as a follower of Allah the Merciful not Allah the Murderous Fascist*, or you will get beaucoup hurt. Capisce?

*N.B. This is a recently discovered attribute of Allah, to go with the rest of them such as the Compassionate and the Merciful. It was deduced from the behavior of Allah’s most devoted followers. Well, they claim they are Allah’s most devoted followers, and nobody among believing Muslims seems to contradict them.

It is easy to make fun of Ahmadinejad. It would be better to take him seriously; to assume that he means what he says.

The world made the mistake of assuming that Hitler was simply a posturing madman. We should not repeat that mistake.

Geez, Ahmadinnerjacket should really stay away from analogies.

The image that was conjured up for me was a backed up sewer welling up in a basement.

But then, I have a bit of a negative bent towards the guy…

Time to call a plumbler to auger out the sewerpipe.
