You’re only getting the ‘after-glow’. If you ever get a full dose of this stuff it is a whole nuther world. Most mamals start to gag uncontrolably and can be temproarilly blinded. The experience goes far beyond mere smell. It’s a multi-sensory experience. All bad.

I grew up in the country. Plenty of skunk. One time our dog, then a puppy, proved too curious for his own good and got himself sprayed. Yipes — it was awful.

The odor of a male billy goat may be worse than skunk. If you come in contact with it as might happen if a billy goat sprays on you, wash with soda in water and the odor goes away. Tomato juice is suppose to work to get rid of skunk odor.
